The River

The river flows against the banks, carving its way through the land. It’s power and might are often subdued, controlled by efforts of man.  But in those days when God sends rains,  for day and days again, the river flows where it likes, it seems to know no end. Respect the force and power it holds, this wonder of God’s design. We like to think we have something to say to keep it well confined.  It soon retreats within it’s banks where gladly it will stay, until the time it escapes the banks to flood again one day.
